Autonomous robotics startup raises $200M Series B

The round values the company well ahead of its revenue, on the strength of a warehouse deployment that has run without human intervention for six months.

By Staff Writer3 min read

Warehouse robotics has been a graveyard for well-funded companies, largely because the environments are less structured than they look and the labour they replace is cheaper than the capital required to replace it.

What is different here is the intervention rate. A six-month deployment with no human takeovers is a credible operational result, and it is the metric that distinguishes a working system from a demonstration.

The valuation still assumes the result generalises to sites the company has not seen. That remains unproven.
